CFest 2025

Gnosall Canal Festival (18-20 July) is only a few weeks away; this year GTR is welcoming 20 trade boats and 12 historic narrowboats moored along the festival towpath between bridge 35a (Railway) and Cowley Tunnel.

You will be able to enjoy pizza, curry, cakes, cheese, ice creams, fudge, hot dogs, coffee, tea or take advantage of our local pubs. Browse delightful decoupage gifts, magnificent handcrafted items, colourful watercolour paintings, fashionable fair-trade clothing, sparkling gemstones and jewellery, vintage knick-knacks, etchings and painted canal ware.

Several traders are delighted to be able to demonstrate their crafts, and the hugely popular kids’ activities are making a welcome return. There will be a host of stalls in the festival garden for you to stop by and have a chat with volunteers from the Shropshire Union Canal Society, Shrewsbury and Newport Canal Trust, Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and of course Gnosall Towpath Restoration, where you can obtain your tickets for a free narrowboat ride. There is also the popular raffle, where you have a chance to win a trip on a day boat from Norbury Wharf Limited plus many other prizes.

Live music and entertainment is entirely free and whilst GTR has confirmed a number of music artists, the full line up will be known closer to the event, published on-line at www.gnosallcanalfestival.co.uk and included in the free programme available on the day.

This year we expect to have a free bus shuttle in place running between the village and the Navigation Inn car park.
