Gnosall Parish Family and Local History Search

Pop into the Grosvenor Centre to access some of the historical records of Gnosall Parish, including the 1880 Parish Map and speak with local historians about family connections, property ownership and more!

Members of the Gnosall Heritage Group will be in the Grosvenor Centre with a range of local historical records, to help residents past and present, trace their family history in the Parish or discover more about the history of their house.

Documents available will include:

  • the 1880 Parish map
  • the 1910 Finance Act maps and field books
  • the 1841 to 1921 Census documents
  • the 1939 Register
  • 1947, 1963 and 1971 aerial photographs

The Tithe Map may also be available.

Self-guide walking tours of some of the historical buildings in Gnosall and Gnosall Heath will be available on the day, as well as some free children’s activities.

Gnosall Parish Family and Local History Search

Part of the Gnosall Heritage Open Day, there are three fantastic events to visit, the St. Lawrence Church and Tower, the Old Lock-Up on Sellman Street (open 10am to 12.30pm) and the Gnosall Local Family and History Search at the Grosvenor Centre (open 10.30am to 4pm). With activities for children, self-guided walks of historical interest in the village and displays, there is something for every one!
