I grew up in South London during the 1970’s and early 1980’s, my family settled in Northampton as part of the rapid new town expansion projects that took place in the East Midlands around 1983.
For my birthday in 1984 my parents gave me a ZX Spectrum computer, sparking a 30-year career in computer engineering and programming. After securing a senior management job with Claims Direct plc in 1995 I ended up moving to Telford where I later met my wife in 2001.
8 years ago we moved from Telford to a new home in Gnosall along with our two children and two dogs. For the last 15 years I have been a senior partner and shareholder working in the corporate insolvency industry.
As an avid movie collector and home cinema enthusiast, I also channel my programming expertise into hobbies like game development and other web-based projects. Most recently I have been helping improve technology in the Grosvenor Centre to aid in the automation of heating and security sensors and to improve Wifi connectivity.
Being stuck in front of a computer for most of my working life I recently made the decision to step out of my comfort zone and to join the Gnosall Parish Council with a desire to meet new people and offer my skills to the team. I hope to play a part in improving the quality of life in Gnosall for all its residents.
