Chief Officer
Jennifer Marshall
A little bit about me. I’m married with three children, 2 cats and a dog and a love of musical theatre.
Although I don’t live in the village, I have lived just next door, in Haughton (the Christmas Lights village) for almost 30 years and Gnosall has always played a big part in our lives. My children learnt to swim here, attended Brownies, Beavers and Scouts in Gnosall, Bank Top is our garage, we frequent the local eateries and shops, and have many friends in the parish.
I spent over 3 decades working in the corporate interior design sector, before changing direction completely and falling into local government just over the border, in Newport.
Initially I worked as Building Manager at The Hub Newport, a community and youth charity, run by Newport Town Council, overseeing their Youth Club, community café and private hire venue, before moving into the council proper. At the Town Council I was responsible for Civic and Town Events including the annual Christmas Light Switch-On, communications, the Newport General Cemetery, the Guildhall wedding venue, community engagement and more.
I may be new to clerking, but I am relishing working with the community and all the dedicated councillors, staff, and volunteers and aim to uphold and build upon the remarkable achievements of the past years and to contribute to the many ongoing and future projects that make Gnosall Parish a wonderful place to live.
