Gnosall Christmas Carnival 2025 – BIGGER & BRIGHTER than ever!

This year Gnosall Parish Council shook things up a bit and made the annual Christmas Light event even BIGGER & BRIGHTER!

Published: 16 December 2025

This festive celebration, dubbed the Gnosall Christmas Carnival, offered a full afternoon of seasonal magic, community spirit, family fun, and all of it for free! The Gnosall Christmas Carnival took place on Saturday the 29th of November between 1pm and 6pm, and Santa himself made an appearance on stage to draw the raffle and to switch on the Christmas lights in front of hundreds of people and close the event.

The Grosvenor Centre site was transformed into a festive hub for Gnosall’s Christmas Carnival, which extended throughout the afternoon and across the entire site, creating a festive event for the entire community to come together and celebrate the magic of Christmas, with something for everyone, no matter what your age!

Aislinn Humphries – local performer

There were live performances from Megan Richardson, Aislinn Humphries, Leo Foetu-Foster, St. Lawrence Dance Troupe, and the Gnosall Singers, as well as three lovely local young ladies who got on stage and performed for the crowds. The Gnosall Hand Bell ringers provided a tinkling ambience in the Grosvenor Centre, where the indoor Christmas Market and Community stalls were based.

The Christmas Market extended outdoors too, with a variety of local craft stalls, community stalls, and community organisations as well as some fabulous festive food and drink stalls, including the traditional Scouts hotdog stall.

Santa was nestled in his fairy-tale Grotto and saw over 100 children throughout the afternoon, providing each child with a Christmas card and small gift after hearing their Christmas wishes, before making his way through the crowds to do his official duty on stage.

There was a variety of free entertainers at the carnival, with North Staffs Storm Troopers roaming the grounds during the afternoon creating interactive experiences and photo opportunities for visitors of all ages.

Twinkle the Shetland pony was stationed at the top of the site and saw a host of people young and old as they stopped by to say hello and have their photos taken.

Sidecar Santa also put in an appearance and visitors could hop in his sidecar for a photo. Indoors, there was free face painting by Ewa and her seasonal creations could be seen gracing the face of many a child throughout the afternoon.

And the fun Fair with its flashing lights, just added to the magic of the afternoon, with rides for all ages nestled in amongst the stalls.

A first for the Parish Council, it’s estimated that over 1500 residents attended the event across the afternoon, with the whole community dressing up warm and coming along to enjoy some Christmas spirit.
